Hustle it in.

I gotta say, 2011 had the best New Ear to-date.

Summary: Funky company. Great food all night. Even better games (Lips involved). Welcoming the New Ear with frawsome fireworks right at our doorstep. Doing forfeits for losing the games (“modelling” in clothes dressed up by the winning team and dancing to the Ketchup song). Dancing and talking till the wee hours, Playing UNO for 2 hours and not winning a single game. Was tempted to blame my night’s losing streak on Feng Shui. Crashing on a bed not mine at 6 AM only to be woken up a minute later by the blinding sunlight coming through very transparent curtains.

Sigh. I’m getting that feeling right before I was shoved took the leap off a plane. I wanna experience the beauty of free falling and flying but I do not look forward to the possibility of the parachute not opening. I am looking forward to 2011, coz walking with Christ only makes life better with each passing day. But at the same time, I am not looking forward to all the stupid mistakes I am bound to make. I look forward to that clean slate He gives me at the beginning every year, but I do not look forward to enduring 365 days of slowly dirtying that slate with my own slipshod and substandard ways.

Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols. And I will give you a new heart with new and right desires, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony heart of sin and give you a new, obedient heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so you will obey my laws and do whatever I command.

Ezekiel 36:25-27

Jesus, please take the wheel. And could you also keep my slate for me? It’ll be cleaner in Your hands anyway.

Also on a VERY happy side-note: I achieved my first 2011 New Ear’s Resolution! Thank you 3pleSEfron for subscribing to me on YouTube. You are lucky number 10! Shall treat you to Maccas Icies.

Thinking of: Andy Timmons’ There are No Words, Leona Lewis’ I See You, watching Avatar for the umpteenth time and Le Chimichangas.
