Filmophile: The Fast and the Furious 5: Rio Heist.

Okay, so there’s only one word for this movie.

Stupendlousfusamanamusacious.

And I quote a fellow movie fan:

“This movie wins on all 3 levels, hot cars, hot action and hot girls.”

Review:

SPOILER ALERT!

The movie is a sequel to the other 4 F&F movies but by far one of the best.

BEST PART! Of course watching Dwyane Johnson in a mortal combat with Vin Diesel was, um, to put it delicately, exciting. It’s like the ultimate girlish fantasy come to life. And I swear I saw The Rock spit out glass! It was an action-PACKED movie to say the least. The fighting scenes blew me away. Maybe it was all that Coke but from the beginning to the end I was on the edge of my seat! The story line was predictable and yet UN-predictable!

What I didn’t like about the movie:

On a more professional note, this movie doesn’t showcase as many cars as I’d like to have seen. HOWEVER, silver lining here is that the driving skills, as unrealistic as some of the moves may be, was definitely wow-worthy.

The other thing I hated was the ending, the directors/producers just couldn’t leave it be, they just HAD to end it in a way that denotes there may be a part VI.

Just end it la!

SUMIE RATING:

♦♦♦♦♦

This movie was SO awesome the Malaysian censorship board censored nothing. ‘Nuff said.

Side note: Has anyone noticed Rio has been trending in movies lately?

Watch this movie or I’ll make you eat glass.

Thinking of: The Rock and Vin Diesel getting it on mortal combat style and Kaya’s Can’t Get You Out Of My Head.
