The Vow. Good Friday.

It occurs to me that all the contorted theories about Jesus that have been spontaneously generating since the day of his death merely confirm the awesome risk God took when He stretched himself out on the dissection table—a risk He seemed to welcome.

Examine Me. Test Me. You decide.

Extract from The Jesus I Never Knew by Philip Yancey.

God made Himself easily acceptable and just as readily deniable. If you’re looking for reasons He exists, you’ll find it first thing in the morning, last thing before you sleep. If you’re looking for reasons He doesn’t exist, you’ll find it just as conveniently.

I have learned that faith means trusting in advance what will only make sense in reverse.

Philip Yancey.

Dear Jesus,

You have given me life, and life in abundance. If I had to dream up the perfect God, He wouldn’t even come close to You. Thank You for Your sacrifice that You made with no strings attached to this blur, selfish, rough, wretched work in progress. Thank You for calling me Your asset when the world calls me its liability. Most of all, thank You for insisting upon my freedom. You are and always will be, my hero :3

I woof You,

He brought them out of the darkness, and broke their chains in pieces.

On a side note: Going to CHC’s Chrome Heart Part II in a few hours!!!!

Thinking of: P!nk’s Sober, Demi Lovato’s Give Your Heart a Break, and THE RESURRECTION IN 3 DAYS!!!
