25 years. Dang. Time sure flies. I blinked and Tadika Pertiwi is 20 years behind me.
I guess since I’m older, I should be wiser.
I feel obligated to somehow prove I have dug some golden nuggets over the past 25 years.
So here goes.
Be intimate with Jesus. Make Him the lover of your soul.
That’s it. Well, that’s the most important.
Other than that?
Family is important. Prioritize your parents and loved ones above even, don’t stone me, church activities.
Build as many lives as you can, inside as well as outside church walls. Starting friendships are easy, keeping them is not.
Go the extra mile and don’t ask for anything in return even if it costs you something. It is more blessed to give than to receive.
Don’t procrastinate. Time is not a luxury we have to squander.
Practice more than you preach. Condemnation was never the message of Christ.
Love people. Unconditionally. You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.
Saying ‘I’m Sorry’, is one of the MOST important words you’ll ever learn to say.
Forgiveness is complete, remembering none of the hurt, intentional or otherwise. Don’t waste time harbouring hate.
Don’t rush into relationships. And if you do, don’t rush out.
Trust Jesus enough to enjoy life. Being happy, believe it or not, is a choice regardless of circumstance.
Side note: My birthday was the best I’ve had in 25 years. I got everything I wanted. Thank You, Jesus :3
Special thanks to: My parents for the lovely dinner…and my birth, the cake and kiss from the Iron Man, Lara for her beautiful hand-made card and belons, my bff, Jean, Pris, Rin&Carmen, cell, Chitoo and Crystal for the amazing treats, company, gifts, surprises and of course to everyone who thought of me and wished me well on this auspicious day 🙂 I woof you all.
I don’t feel 25. I still like belons.
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.
Thinking of: 25 years ago today, Reverend Samuel Rodriguez, doves, weddings and MY NEW TOYSSSSSSSS!!!!!
