Pillow Talk

You can study it, research about it but unless you exercise faith, you’ll never see how trusting Jesus means you’ll always have His lap to weep miserably into when things overwhelmingly fall apart, He’s the understanding ear that never condemns you for your mistakes but quietly comforts you.

This is the truth: His secure shoulders beg for you to lean your head on them. It’s in His arms you’ll smell the sweet scent of acceptance just for being the way you are, mistakes, potential and all.

You’ll learn to love the way He whispers in your ears in the morning to let you know how He longs for a little closer intimacy today. At night He’ll close your eyes with the peace that the whole day He went to great lengths to remind you that though you may have deviated from His plan, He just never wanted you out of His arms.

If I say, “My foot slips,”
Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up.
In the multitude of my anxieties within me,
Your comforts delight my soul.

Psalms 94:18-19

Don’t listen to a word they say, this is what love really is. For me, at least.

Thinking of: When we finally meet,  it’ll be for eternity.
