If there’s anything Christ has taught me, it’s that we don’t live for ourselves. In us rests the potential and ability to impact the world. That ability is only stimulated when selfishness dies. Ironically I have spent a lot more time redefining my ‘SELF’ than I have in defining my love for others.
You can’t blame me, my natural humanistic standard operating procedure is always to look out for numero uno.
Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.
One grain can feed one person, and much grain… well, you get the idea.
He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.
Funny how now in a social-media-frenzied society, following somebody can at times represent our loyalty to them. And if someone follows you, especially someone we consider on a pedestal, that would be a great honour.
Yet in the Bible, Jesus says if we want honour, it isn’t that we follow or are followed, it is that we serve. And the highest honour? To serve Him.
He set the greatest example when He bent down from Heaven to reach us in our weakened state and washed us in His cleansing blood. Then He taught us to love one another; to bend down before our bro’s who are in a state we judge as unclean, and to make every relationship right through service.
[…] but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

Thank You, Jesus, for Your sacrifice and love towards a girl so undeserving.
On a side note: Special thanks to Sarah-Jane and Cheryl Lim for helping me create this amazing content for Resurrection Sunday.
On another side note: Rumours of Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson possibly running for office in 2020 only means one thing: I am moving to America and officially becoming a citizen so I can finally smell what the Rock is cooking.
Either that or Dwayne’s gonna lay the smack down on Trump. Win-win either way
Thinking of: How he is RISEN! and rockin’ the vote.
