I was told that long ago, our ancestors were guardians. Our women were the warriors of our tribe and time. We had one role; to protect.
Today, my mother reminded me the importance of fighting. Fighting for what we want to get, fighting for what we want to keep. And it can get ugly when enemies come to steal, kill and destroy what is in our possession.
Satan has persisted in ravaging our filial bonds because if he can break the family apart, he has us one step closer to him.
So we get on the offensive. Because sometimes we need to put up a fight to defend what is our inheritance.
While we must battle, we already know the outcome.
For One before us has already conquered so that we have victory both in this and the life to come.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33
Dear Sumi,
Fight for this family, because the day you give up on it is the day there is no family left.
Gentle reminder: Pursue truth. Uncover wisdom. Chase down discipline.
