HarvestGen just turned 11 over the weekend and in the midst of the hustle and bustle of editing and shooting videos I never really sat down and reminded myself what this anniversary means to me.
I mean, yay, I’m in church for another year but at this stage I’m asking myself, what do I really see in the coming year as part of the Kingdom of God.
I seem to be short-sighted even spiritually so really, the question is what does Jesus see?
You know the saying, ‘Four months between planting and harvest.’ But I say, wake up and look around. The fields are already ripe for harvest.
John 4:35
Where I see 99, He sees the ‘1’ that strays away.
Where people saw a corrupt tax collector, Jesus saw a man ready for salvation. Where people saw a failure, Jesus saw a rock on which He would build His church and the gates of hell would not prevail against it.
So what do I see?
Love is seeing your responsibility in the need of others
Ps Garrick Li
Lord, this year let ENLARGE not just be a tagline to shout huzzah to, it has to be the cry of my heart, the longing for the ‘1’ that goes astray.
Side note: A church member wrote this song for our anniversary item and I have to say I am freakishly impressed.
Thinking of: How we’re called for a reason.
